Chihiro Falls

Chihiro Falls is the tallest waterfall in Japan located in the sea bream river, which originates in central Yakushima. The drop is about 88m, and you can see a magnificent view of a huge granite monolith and a large amount of water flowing down the V-shaped valley. After it rains or when the snow melts, you can see the powerful waterfall.

Senpiro Falls is about 30 minutes by car from Yakushima Airport and about 50 minutes by car from Miyanoura. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the observatory. The view from the observatory is somewhat distant, but you can fully enjoy its majestic appearance. At Gejibe no Sato in front of the observatory, you can buy special products and souvenirs of Yakushima.

Senpiro Falls is a tourist spot where you can feel the nature of Yakushima, which is registered as a World Natural Heritage site. Please visit when you come to Yakushima.
